  • National Mathematics Day 22-12-2016
    National Mathematics Day–2016 was celebrated by the institution on 22nd December, 2016 to commemorate the 129th birth anniversary of great Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. The principal, Prof. Digumarti Bhaskara Rao, Honourary president of Srinivasa Ramanujan Mathematics club, inaugurated the function. The mathematics faculty of the institution, Prof. M. Ravi Kumar, Smt. Ch. Jalaja Kumari and Dr. M. Sreedevi were actively involved in making arrangements for the event. All the faculty members and students of the institution were present. On this occasion, a seminar on “eminent mathematicians” was organised by the members of Srinivasa Ramanujan mathematics club.

  • Constitution of Junior Wing of Mathematics Club: 21-12-2016
    B.Ed. course has changed to two year programme from the academic year 2015-16. So, the institution has two batches of students in B.Ed. programme, Viz., juniors (B.Ed.: 2016-18) and seniors (B.Ed.: 2015-17). In this connection, junior wing of ‘Srinivasa Ramanujan Mathematics Club’ was constituted with the following students as office bearers.

    The mathematics club at the institution is the students’ initiative to promote mathematical discussion and debate among the students. It aims to be a platform for students to communicate their mathematical ideas and interests. Organising bulletin board on regular basis is the important activity of the mathematics club in the institution. The junior wing performs all the activities in association with senior wing.

  • Visit to Boudha Sri Archaeological Museum 15-12-2016
    The first semester 2016-2018 batch students were taken to Boudha Sri Archaeological Museum in Guntur on 15-12-2016. The sculptures and artefacts’ present over there. The staff of the museum explained about the exhibits in the museum.

  • Blood Donation Programme: 02-12-2016
    Our institution has organized its seventh blood donation camp in the college campus in association with N.T.R Memorial Trust Blood Bank, Guntur on 02-12-2016. This time only 6 have donated their blood in the blood donation camp. Sri Gadde Mangaiah, Secretary and Correspondent of the college inaugurated the programme and Prof. D. Bhaskara Rao, Principal of the college gave message to the students about the significance of blood donation. Dr. Meduri Bhaskara Rao of N.T.R Memorial Trust Blood Bank, Guntur and his team has conducted the camp in the college assembly hall. The main goal of this programme is to develop positive attitude towards blood donation among the student teachers.

  • Guest Lecture on Health Awareness: 02-12-2016
    Our institution has arranged a guest lecture on “Health Awareness” to the students and staff in the college assembly hall with the cooperation of N.T.R Memorial Trust Blood Bank, Guntur at 10:30 A.M on 02-12-2016. Dr. N. Bhaskara Rao of N.T.R Memorial Trust Blood Bank, Guntur gave a guest lecture on Health Awareness. He has discussed about some issues related to general health in an interactive manner. He has also motivated the students towards blood donation programme. The main intention of the programme was to develop health awareness among the students, staff members and other participants and to motivate the students and others towards blood donation programme.

  • World Differently Able Day 2-12-2016
    On 2-12-016 the students participated in the rally in association with “DAKSHINYA”(An instituted for mentally challenged children) to create awareness to masses on Autism.

  • World Aids Day 1-12-2016
    World Aids Day was observed on 1-12-2016. Dr. K. Padmaja, famous gynaecologist addressed the women students on this occasion. The staff and students interacted with her and clarified their doubts related to HIV- AIDS and gynaec problems.

  • Sports Day 28-11-2016 to 30-11-2016
    A three day sports meet was conducted to the two years B.Ed. Students from 24-11-016 to 26-11-2016. From 28-11-2016 to 30-11-2016, Essay writing, Elocution and Quiz Competition were held to the students. These programmes were conducted in commemoration of the college founder Vidwan Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah’s centenary birthday on January 4th, 2017. The following games were conducted:

    • Shuttle Badminton Doubles for Boys and Girls
    • Tennicoit Doubles for Girls
    • Shot-put for Boys and Girls
    • Musical Chairs for Boys and Girls
    • Tug of war for Boys and Girls
    • Kho-Kho for Girls
    • Carroms for Girls
    • Chess for Boys and Girls
    • Prizes will be distributed on January 4th, 2017.

  • Yuvajanatsavam 15-10-2016
    In commemoration of Dr. A.P. J. Abdul Kalam, former president of India and on whose name this college has been established late Sri Rayapati Venkata Ranga Rao, “ Yuavajananptsavam” was celebrated on 15-10-2016 which was a day long programme and celebration. The programme was organised by the institute in collaboration with Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah Kalanikethan. The programme was inaugurated by the vice-chancellor, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, A.N.U. and on this same day he also inaugurated the newly constructed III floor on the existing bulding Rector, K. Sambasiva Rao, A. N. U. Sri Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, M.P., Narasaraopeta also participated in this inaugural session. The following competitions were conducted to the U. G. and professional course students.

    (i) Elocution
    (ii) Essay-Writing
    (iii) Drawing Competition
    (iv) Patriotic Songs

    Around 100 students participated in these competitions .The winners were awarded with cash prizes, merit certificates and mementos . All the participants were given participation certificates. In the evening session, prizes were distributed by D. Manikya vara Prasad, spokesperson TDP.,--------- Education Minister of A.P. , Dr. R. Srinivas . Ex. M.L.C., and Sri R. Mohana Sai Krishna, Ex. Mayor, Guntur. All the staff and students actively participated to make the programme a grand success.

  • International Teacher’s Day: 5-10-2016
    October 5th was observed as International Teacher’s day by the staff and students of the college. The function was presided by our secretary and correspondent Sri. G. Mangaiah. He emphasized the importance of character to the trainee-teachers. The students felicitated the principal and the staff members. On the same day, the existing batch students invited the freshly joined students to the college. On this occasion, they introduced each o the other and had lunch together. In the afternoon, the students performed some cultural items to entertain the gathering.

  • Regional Science Centre 25-9-2016
    On 25-9-2016 our students along with staff members visited APCOST- Regional Science Center, situated at Vijayawada. The students learnt many scientific principals, mathematical solutions, by hands on experience. This will help the student- teachers to have concrete knowledge which will inturn improves their teaching competencies.

  • Science Exhibition 15-9-2016
    Our students along with the staff members visited the district level exhibition projects and competitions inspire awards by NATCO School of learning in association with department of science and technology, government of India at Gollamudipadu On 15-9-2016. The student teachers observed the exhibits and enriched their existing knowledge.

  • Vanam Manam 29-07-2016
    As per the initiation of AP state CM, Sri N. Chandra Babu Naidu, a state level programme by name “Vanam Manam” was initiated. Our college students collected around 70 saplings from Guntur municipal Corporation authorities and planted them in and around the institute on 29-07-2016.

  • Installation and unveiling of ‘Kavi Raju’ Sri Tripuraneni Rama Swami Chowdary Statue: 15-1-2016
    The College Management has decided to install the statue of Kavi Raju Sri Tripuraneni Rama Swami Chowdary, who was a well–known poet, dramatist, social reformer, atheist and humanist. He always believed in egalitarianism. The bust size bronze statue was installed opposite to the entrance of the college gate on 15th January 2016 in remembering his 125th birthday. The statue was unveiled by Narasaraopet M.P. Sri Rayapati Sambasiva Rao followed by a meeting. The speakers remembered the greatness and deeds of Kavi Raju.

  • Condolences Meeting of Vidwaan Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah: 18/1/2016
    Vidwan Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah entered into the eternity on 12-1-2016. From 8th to 17th were the pongal holidays to the College. Hence, the condolence meeting was held on 18-1-2016 in the college assembly hall. The Secretary and Correspondent addressed the students and told about late Vidwan Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah as the founder of this college of education, Philanthropist, educationist and used to serve the needy in his own way.

    The Staff and Students of the College remembered their experiences with late Vidwan Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah, followed by observing 2 minutes silence. Classes were suspended.

  • Republic Day: 26-01-2016
    69th Republic Day was celebrated on 26/1/2016 in our campus in the morning at 8.00pm .Our secretary and correspondent hoisted the national flag. He advised the students to be self disciplined and work hard for their future. Staff and students participated in the programme.

  • World Autism Awareness Day: 2-4-2016.
    World Autism day was observed in the college on 2-4-2016. Two experts from Dakshinya (An organization runs a school for Mentally Retarded Children) explained about the condition Autism; how to identify the autistic children, their needs, how to cope up with them, how to cope up with the parents having the children with autistic spectrum. This programme is very much helpful to the trainee teachers to identify the children with autism and separate them from the normal students folk.

  • Visit to Archaeological Museum: 28-4-2016
    On 28/4/2016 the staff and students of the college went on the Bouddha Sri Archaeological Museum situated in Guntur. There were many statues, idols, artifacts, depicting the Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism dated back to some 2000 years. The lecturers explained about the displayed objects and their historical significance.
