Independence day was celebrated on 15th August 2017. Our secretary and correspondent Sri Gadde Mangaiah hoisted the flag and addressed the students. In his address he advocated the students to develop self discipline and to have high goals. One and all of the college present on the occasion. At the end of the programme sweets were distributed.
150th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Sister Nivedita: 13-10-2017 to 15-10-2017
150th Birth anniversary celebration of sister Nivedita was organized by “Rama Krishna Sarada Mission, Guntur from 13th Oct to 15th Oct 2017. The B.Ed. students along with staff members participated in this programme. The students were educated on the life history of sister Nivedita and her contributions in different fields of education in India so that they have a chance to do their part to the society.
Founder’s Day Celebrations: 16-10-2017
The centenary birthday of Sri Rayapati Venkata Ranga Rao was celebrated in the college on 16-10-2017. On this occasion in the morning session essay writing, singing and pencil drawing competitions were conducted. In these competitions along with B.Ed. and D.Ed. students the senior secondary students of Dr. K.L.P. school and students of Home Science College Guntur, also participated. In the afternoon session various cultural programmes were performed by the students. A Commemoration meeting was held. Sri Dokka Manikya Varaprasad was the Chief guest and Dr. K.Basava Punnaiah presided over the meeting. Dr. Rayapati Sreenivasa Rao Ex. M.L.C. and family members of Sri Rayapati Venkata Ranga Rao also attended the meeting and recollected his memories. Prizes were distributed for the winners of the above said competitions.
Visit to Science and Arts Exhibition at Sri Venkateswara Bala Kuteer School, Brodiepet Guntur: 21-10-2017
As a part of science practicum, the B.Ed. students along with faculty visited the Science and Arts Exhibition on 21-10-2017 organised by Sri. Venkateswara Bala Kuteer School, Brodipet, Guntur. By this visit the students were enriched their knowledge about recent trends in science and technology and preparation of various improvised apparatus in different subjects.
Visit to APCOST: 22-12-2017
The staff and students went on an educational fieldtrip to Vijayawada and Amaravathi the capital of Andhra Pradesh and visited the Science Museum the APCOST Centre. In Amaravathi they saw the secretariat and Assembly Bhavan which are newly constructed.
Sujalaam & Suphalaam: 22-04-2017
The students and staff of R.V.R.R.College of Education took on a rally on the 22-04-2017 which is World Earth Day with a concept of `Sujalaam & Suphalaam’. The objective of this programme is to save the water. The students displayed plycards depicting the salient features of conservation of water. After the rally the students gathered at the assembly hall of the college, Secretary & Correspondent of the college Sri Gadde Mangaiah advocated the importance of water for life. Smt P. Parvathi, Addnl. Director Public Libraries of A.P. State Govt., Sri Raghu Kumar, incharge DEO, Guntur, were also participated as chief guest and gruest of honour and addressed the gathering. The entire programme is jointly organised by the R.V.R.R college and Eenadu Group of Communications.
Farewell Day Celebrations: 08-04-2017
The students of first year B.Ed course celebrated the farewell day in a grand manner. They bid farewell to college leaving second year students. In this connection the secretary & Correspondent of the institution Sri Gadde Mangaiah advocated the students to be honest and adhere to the duty. The College principal Prof. D. Bhaskara Rao advised them to continue their learning process to be as good teachers. All the faculty members wished the second year B.Ed. students for bright future and Prospects, sumptuous lunch followed. Later in the afternoon all the students participated in the cultural extravaganza.
Educational Tour: 28-03-17
Students and staff of R.V.R.R. College of Education went an educational tour to Kondaveedu Fort on 28-03-2017. The Students and staff reached the foot of the hill on which the fort has been built around 9.30 am climbed nearly 500 meters high to reach the hill top. There they saw the castle along with temples, tanks and wild forest. Later, they visited the Navaneetha Balakrishna Temple at Change Eskhanpet and also visited “Gosala’ which belongs to ISKCON. The students enjoyed the nature’s beauty and flora and fauna. They returned back to Guntur with rich memories.
Women’s Day : 8-3-2017
International Women’s Day was observed on 8th March, 2017 in the institution. Secretary & Correspondent Sri. G.Mangaiah presided over the meeting. In his inaugural address he strongly stressed about the women empowerment, women’s rights and duties to be performed. Principal, Prof. D.Bhaskara Rao, adviced the women students to be strong in their attitude and have a happy life by self reliance.
A few students spoke about the importance of the day, Later, the students had a debate on, “Gender Discrimanation in Present Society”. All the students participated actively and expressed their news. The staff wished them to have a prosperous life on this occasion. All the girl students were given gifts by the boy students .
National Science Day: 28-02-2017
The students and staff observed National Science Day on 28th February 2017. On that day, some students exhibited science related projects like lunar eclipse, planetary motion around the sun, types of waves, mobile projector, sound amplifier, resonance, eco-air cooler, etc..
The secretary and correspondent, Principal and faculty observed the exhibits. Later, the secretary and Correspondent, Principal addressed the students. This year the Indian Government selected the theme as “Science & Technology for Specially Abled Persons”. Basing on this concept, a power point presentation on Bionic Eye, Prosthetics & other electronic gadgets which are specially intended to assist specially abled persons was given by the faculty member to the students. Refreshments were served to all at the end of the meeting.
Parent Teacher Association Meeting: 20-02-2017
Parent Teacher Association Meeting was held on 20-02-2017. Secretary and Correspondent of the institution Sri. G. Mangaiah presided over the function. Principal of the institution Prof. D. Bhaskara Rao, explained the parents about the philosophy of the institution. Later, Parents and faculty discussed about the academic performance of the students. Feedback forms from parents regarding the functioning of the institutions and their satisfaction towards their wards were collected.
Alumni Meet (ROSA): 11-02-2017
Rayapati Venkata Ranga Rao College of Education Old Students Association (ROSA) meeting was held on 11- 02- 2017. Dr. A.S. Rama Krishna, M.L.C., Teacher’s constituency of Krishna & Guntur (Dist.) was the president of the meeting.
Dr. A. S. Rama Krishna, MLC is the faculty of the institution till 2011. He addressed the gathering and praised their achievements in life and advocated them to show their gratitude towards the institution. Secretary and Correspondent, staff shared their memories with the Alumni lunch followed. Around 60 members attended and feedback forms from the ALUMNI were collected. The Alumni discussed about future activities to be conducted.
National Women’s Parliament : 10-02-2017 to 12-12-2017
National Women’s Parliament was conducted by the government of Andhra Pradesh from 10-02-2017 to 12-02-2017 at Pavithra Sangamam, Ibrahimpatnam, Vijayawada , Krishna District.
Andhra Pradesh State Government prestigiously conducted the National Women’s Parliament from 10-02-17 to 12-02-17. State assembly speaker directed all the educational institutions to participate in this parliament. Accordingly, from our college faculty member Smt. G.V.Sivalakshmi and four girl students were participated in the event. They participated in several seminars, workshops there. They encouraged and enriched their knowledge regarding the issues relating to women folk. Certificates were issued by the State Government to the Participants.
Sahitya Samagamam: 30-01-2017
Kavi Raju Tripuraneni Rama Swamy Choudary Literary Society in association with our institution organised an event in the college assembly hall for remembering the literary contributions of Tripuraneni Rama Swamy Chowdary. The Secretary & Correspondent of the College Sri Gadde Mangaiah presided over the function. Sri Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad, Ex. Education Minister, A.P. was invited as special guest. Prof. Challapalli Swarupa Rani from Acharya Nagajuna University gave a special lecture on literary contributions of Kavi Raju Tripuraneni. Dr. Saamala Ramesh Babu, president of Telugu language movement was felicitated by the congregation. Prof. P. Raja Sekhar, Ex-registrar of Acharya Nagarjuna University graced the occasion. Sri Ravela Sambasiva Rao, Sri Alokam Peddabbai and Sri Valluri Tandava Krishna were actively involved in making arrangements for the event, as members of the Kavi Raju Tripuraneni Literary Society. Principal, staff, students of the institution and the public of Guntur city were participated in the event. Books on literary works of Tripuraneni Rama Swamy Chowdary were distributed to the participants.
Visit to Jana Sikshana Sansthan: 30-01-2017
The students belonging to 4th semester B.Ed. of our institution visited Jana Sikshana Sansthan, an organisation which functions at district level, sponsored by MHRD, Govt of India, on 30-01-2017 which is intended to provide training to literates and illiterates, thereby, increasing their financial status. All the courses offered by this institution are recognised par with other educational bodies. The students observed the training courses like Fabric Painting, leaf plates & cup making and toy making with waste materials.
Visit to Mahila Pranganam: 28-01-2017
The B.Ed. students of 4th semester and some faculty members visited “Durga Bai Mahila Sisu Vikasa Kendram (Mahila Pranganam) on 28-01-2017, interacted with the personal and trainees who are being trained in Anganawadi and Tailoring as a part of their academic activity relating to a course in B.Ed. 4th semester – “Gender, School and Society.” It gave them understanding towards some of the stereotypes existed in the society.
Republic Day Celebrations: 26-1-2017
68th Republic Day was celebrated on 26-01-2017 in the institution. The Secretary & Correspondent of the institution hoisted the National Flag at 8:45 A.M. He advised the students about the duties of a good citizen and be responsible citizens. Principal staff & students participated on this occasion. Students were served with sweets.
Vidwan Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah Centenary Celebrations: 04-01-2017
The management, staff and students of the institution celebrated the centenary birthday of late Vidwan Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah on January 4th 2017 in the college assembly hall. Tributes were paid by one and all.
In the morning session, the congregation remembered the good deeds of late Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah, the founder of the institution. The morning session was presided over by Dr. Kondabolu Basavapunnaiah, President of Nagarjuna Education Society. Sri Gadde Mangaiah, Secretary and Correspondent of the institution and also honourable president of Sri Gogineni Kanakaaih Kalaniketan, Goddanti Ranga Rao, Vice President, S.G.K. Kalaniketan, Dhruva Srinivas, Treasurer and K. Krishna, Organising Secretary of Kalaniketan, elite of Guntur city, Principal, staff and students were presented. The event followed by a lunch and cultural programmes presented by the students.
In the evening session, the meeting was presided over by Dr. Rayapati Srinivas, Ex-M.L.C., & Vice-President of the institution. Sri Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad, Ex-Minister, Secondary Education, A.P. State Government graced the function as chief guest. Smt. P. Parvati, R.J.D., School Education, Guntur Region and Sri K. Srinivasulu, D.E.O., Guntur district were invited as guests. Sri Rayapati Mohana Sai Krishna, Ex-Mayor of Guntur Municipal Corporation and Sri Ravela Sambasiva Rao, Ex-Registrar of Acharya Nagarjuna University were also participated in the event.
Prizes were distributed to the deserving students who participated in different activities conducted in the connection of birth centenary celebrations of Late Vidwan Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah.
