The 138th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel was celebrated enthusiastically by the students and faculty of the institution. On October 31, 2018, Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was observed as “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” (National Unity Day) in honour of great Indian leader. On the day, one faculty member Sri M. Ravi Krishna briefed about the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel towards India’s Unity, Safety and Security.
At last, Smt. M. Seeta Maha Lakshmi, English faculty member of the institution administered “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” Pledge to all the faculty, staff and students. The programme was organized by Dr. K. Venkateswarlu, Social Studies faculty of the institution.
150th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi: 29-09-2018
Our college celebrated the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 29-09-2018. On this occasion, our principal Prof. Digumarti Bhaskara Rao addressed the students and delivered a speech on ‘great personality of Mahatma Gandhi’. Our students and staff members remembered the great services rendered by the Mahatma Gandhi to the nation.
Yuvajanotsavam 2018 (Founder’s Day): 28-09-2018
Yuvajanotsavams 2018 was organized by the institution in commemoration of the birthday of Sri Rayapati Venkata Ranga Rao. It is also considered as `Founder’s Day’. Essay writing, elocution, singing of patriotic songs and drawing competitions were conducted on this occasion. In the morning session essay writing, elocution and drawing competitions were conducted for Junior Inter, Senior Inter, Degree and professional courses students. In the afternoon session patriotic songs singing competition was conducted. Around 100 students from 20 colleges belonging to Acharya Nagarjuna University were participated in these competitions. Delicious lunch was provided to all the participants and guests.
Dr. Rayapati Srinivas, Ex. M.L.C. as honourable guest and Dr. K. Rajani Priya, CEO, STEP & District Youth Welfare Officer, Guntur as the chief guest took part in the prize distribution function. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the competitions.
Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah Kalaniketan Competitions: 11-09-2018
Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah Kalaniketan conducted `Drawing and Poem Recitation’ competitions in association with the college on 11-09-2018. Around 350 students from 30 schools participated in this competition. Drawing competition was conducted under two categories as seniors and juniors. Lunch was served to all the participants. In the evening, the prize distribution function was held at 4.30 p.m. Nagarjuna Education Society President Dr. Rayapati Srinivas presided over the function and the present Z.P. Chairperson Smt. Shaik Johny Moon was invited as the Chief Guest. Prizes and merit certificates were distributed to the winners of the competitions.
Freshers Day Celebrations: 07-09-2018
The students of the college celebrated the fresher’s day on 07-09-2018. The senior students welcomed the newly joined first year students to the college. Old and new students interacted with each other. The seniors advised the freshers on academics and other aspects relating to college. The college Secretary and Correspondent Sri Gadde Mangiah garu addressed the students and explained about the philosophy of the college management. The Principal & staff advised the new comers to follow the rules and regulations of the college. Sumptuous lunch was served to one and all. In the post lunch session, the students performed different cultural programmes.
Teachers’s Day Celebrations: 05-09-2018
National Teachers Day was observed on 5th Sept 2018, Monday, the birthday of Sir Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan, the second president of Independent India. A meeting was held in the assembly hall. The college secretary & correspondent Gadde Mangaiah garu advocated the trainee teachers to become as good citizens first, then as good teachers. He insisted upon acquiring good skills in teaching along with character. Principal Prof. Digumarti Baskara Rao advised the students to concentrate on academics. The teaching staff was felicitated by the students.
Independence Day Celebrations: 15-08-2018
72nd Independence Day Celebrations were celebrated on 15th August, 2018 in our college campus in the morning at 8.00 A.M. Our Secretary and correspondent Sri Gadde Mangaiah Garu hoisted the National flag and advised the students about the duties of a good citizen. Principal, staff and students were participated in this occasion. Sweets were distributed to the students.
International Yoga Day: 21-06-2018
International Yoga day was observed in Rayapati Venkata Ranga Rao College of Education on 21-6-2018. Staff and students participated in the programme. Students performed different yogasanas on this occasion. Principal of the institution advised the students to have a habit of practicing yoga daily. Later students participated in a discussion on ‘Yoga and its benefits to mankind’. One faculty member of the institution performed yogasanas on this occasion.
Visit to Mahila Pranganam: 10-04-2018
As a part of academic activity our Fifth semester, students and two staff members visited Durga Bai Desh Mukh Mahila Sisuvikasa Kendra (Mahila Pranganam) on 10-4-2018. This centre gives training to women belong to the rural and victimized for empowerment and self reliance. They are giving training for Tailoring, Beautician course, Computers, Nursing etc. Our students visited all the training Programmes and interacted with people there. It gave them understanding towards some of the stereotypes existed in the society.
Parent Teacher Meet: 06-04-2018
PTA meeting was conducted on 6-4-2018 in the view to discuss about the problem and requirements of the students. PTA along with faculty discussed about the academic performance of the students. Feedback from parents regarding function of the institution was collected.
Visit to Prathibha Sindhuri Special School: 28-03-2018
Our Fourth semester students along with two staff members visited Prathibha Sindhuri special school situated at Navabharat Nagar, Guntur as a part of their academic activity. There they have observed how special education being imparted to the children with special needs. They also observed the multidisciplinary approach of education and other allied aspects by interacting with teaching staff and students. They came to know about teaching and learning material. Physical training techniques support service etc. At the end of the activity, the students distributed biscuit packets to one and all of the institution. They took photographs for the record purpose. They thanked the management for support rendered to them for smooth completion of their academic activity.
World Water Day: 22-03-2018
World water Day was observed on 22nd March 2018. Theme of the World Water Day for 2018 is `Nature for Water”. It explore nature based solutions to the water challenges, we are facing in 21st century. On this occasion, many of our students talked on nature based solutions for rebalancing the water cycle. They share their views on contribution of circular economy, helping the natural environment and reduce pollution. In the meetings, students and the staff discussed the ways to conserve the water and to use it minimally in the campus.
International Women’s Day: 08-03-2018
Women’s Day was observed on 08-03-2018 in the institution. Our Secretary & Correspondent Sri G.Mangaiah and Prof. D. Bhaskara Rao addressed the staff and students and strongly stressed women empowerment. Staff and students talked about the importance of the day.
Republic Day Celebrations: 26-01-2018
69th Republic Day was celebrated on 26-01-2018 in the institution. The Secretary & Correspondent of the institution hoisted the National Flag at 9.30 A.M. He advised the students about the duties of a good citizen and be responsible citizens. Principal staff & students participated on this occasion. Students were served with sweets.
“Sahithya Goshti” on Kavi Raju: 23-01-2018
On 23-01-2018 our institution in association with Kavi Raju Tripurneni Rama Swamy Sahithi Samithi organised an event to remember Kaviraju and his contributions to society through his literary works. On this day Sri Papineni Siva Sankar, awarded, Kendra Saahithya Academy gave an illustrious lecture on great poet Kavi Raju and his contributions. Famous Cine actor, Chittineni Lakshmi Narayana enchanted the poems of Kavi Raju. Prizes were distributed to the students who won the prizes in the competitions conducted on 05-01-2018 of instance Smt. M. Basavapunnamma, Retd. Principal, Govt. college for women, Guntur distributed the prizes to the winners of competitions. Lovers of Telugu literature of Guntur city graced the occasion.
National Women’s Parliament : 10-02-2017 to 12-12-2017
National Women’s Parliament was conducted by the government of Andhra Pradesh from 10-02-2017 to 12-02-2017 at Pavithra Sangamam, Ibrahimpatnam, Vijayawada , Krishna District.
Andhra Pradesh State Government prestigiously conducted the National Women’s Parliament from 10-02-17 to 12-02-17. State assembly speaker directed all the educational institutions to participate in this parliament. Accordingly, from our college faculty member Smt. G.V.Sivalakshmi and four girl students were participated in the event. They participated in several seminars, workshops there. They encouraged and enriched their knowledge regarding the issues relating to women folk. Certificates were issued by the State Government to the Participants.
Sri Gogineni Kalaniketan Competitions: 22-01-2018
Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah Kalaniketan conducted classical and folk dance competitions on 22-01-2018 a day long programme in association with R.V.R.R. College of education for college student. Around 75 students from 15 colleges participated in the competitions. Cash prizes, certificates for winners and participated students were given. All the students were offered working lunch also.
Birthday Celebrations of `Kaviraju’: 15-01-2018
15-01-2018 is the harvest festival day. It is also 131st birthday of Kaviraju Sri Tripurneni Ramaswamy Chowdary. The members of KSS; Secretary and Correspondent of the college the Principal and the staff garlanded the statue of Kaviraju in the college campus. The gathering remembered his philosophy. Smt. R.Basava Punnamma, Retd Regional Joint Director of Higher education and also the donar of the statue, delivered speech on his literary works to the gathering.
Competitions to Students: 5-01-2018
The college in association with Kavi Raju Sahithee Samithi conducted different competitions to the students commemorate the 131st birthday of Kavi Raju Tripuraneni Rama Swamy Chowdary. “Importance of rationalism in the society“ is the topic for elocution competition “Rationalistic views of Kaviraju in his literary works” is the topic for essay writing. Most of the students of B.Ed. and D.Ed. course participated. Kavi Raju Sahithee Samithi members, Sri Alokam Peddabbaiah, Sri Ravela Samba Siva Rao, Ex. Registrar, ANU, V.Tandava Krishna and other members of KSS were present on the occasion. College Secretary & Correspondence Sri Gadde Mangaiah college Principal and Professor Sri Digumarthi Bhaskara Rao and staff members were presented in this programme.

Vidwan Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah Centenary Celebrations: 04-01-2017
The management, staff and students of the institution celebrated the centenary birthday of late Vidwan Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah on January 4th 2017 in the college assembly hall. Tributes were paid by one and all.
In the morning session, the congregation remembered the good deeds of late Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah, the founder of the institution. The morning session was presided over by Dr. Kondabolu Basavapunnaiah, President of Nagarjuna Education Society. Sri Gadde Mangaiah, Secretary and Correspondent of the institution and also honourable president of Sri Gogineni Kanakaaih Kalaniketan, Goddanti Ranga Rao, Vice President, S.G.K. Kalaniketan, Dhruva Srinivas, Treasurer and K. Krishna, Organising Secretary of Kalaniketan, elite of Guntur city, Principal, staff and students were presented. The event followed by a lunch and cultural programmes presented by the students.
In the evening session, the meeting was presided over by Dr. Rayapati Srinivas, Ex-M.L.C., & Vice-President of the institution. Sri Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad, Ex-Minister, Secondary Education, A.P. State Government graced the function as chief guest. Smt. P. Parvati, R.J.D., School Education, Guntur Region and Sri K. Srinivasulu, D.E.O., Guntur district were invited as guests. Sri Rayapati Mohana Sai Krishna, Ex-Mayor of Guntur Municipal Corporation and Sri Ravela Sambasiva Rao, Ex-Registrar of Acharya Nagarjuna University were also participated in the event.
